You can always call or email us. It is also possible to send us a message via the reservation.
You might add an extra bed in the Twin Rooms (two single beds) and in the Triple Rooms (3 singles beds).
Up to 4 years is free.

Payments

If you have booked a non-refundable rate, payment is required immediately, in which case the hotel will require payment to be made by credit card. In exceptional cases bank transfers can also be accepted.
This is possible during your booking and you will receive a pre-registration email in which you can enter your details including your credit card details.
If a payment or pre-authorization is made by a third party when making a reservation and/or the credit card holder's name is different from the name of the booker and/or guests, the hotel will likely provide a scanned copy of the ID of request the cardholder as well as a signed authorization letter from the cardholder with his/her agreement to use the credit card for the reservation.
If a third party wants to pay for the reservation on arrival, that's absolutely fine.

Tourist tax is a municipal tax for paid accommodation in Amsterdam. The Amsterdam city council requires each tourist to pay 12,5% of the total room price to improve the city and its facilities.

If your reservation was made prior to January 2024 you will be asked to pay the new city tax upon arrival to the hotel. If you have any further questions please give us a call or send us an email.

Arrival

Check-in is possible from 14:00.

We do not have our own parking garage. Parking is possible in the public car parks Q-Park Nieuwendijk and Q-Park Centraal Station. Q-Park Nieuwendijk is located at the Nieuwezijds Kolk 18. The normal day ticket price is € 55. Q-Park Centraal Station is located at Prins Hendrikkade 20A. The normal day price is € 55,-. For more information about parking and tickets you can ask our staff at the desk.
Unfortunately we do not offer a shuttle service. The quickest and easiest is to take the train from Schiphol. The train runs every 15 minutes from 06:00 until midnight and every hour between midnight and 06.00a.m.

During your stay

Unfortunately we cannot allow pets in the hotel.
Hotel Sint Nicolaas is 100% non-smoking. If you smoke inside the hotel, a fine of € 250 will be charged.
Unfortunately due to the age of the building, there are no facilities for disabled guests.
Breakfast is served daily from 07:30 to 10:30.

Departure

Check-out is possible until 11:00. We do offer a late check-out at €20 per hour. (Last 13:00) Subject to availability.
Earlier departure is certainly possible! Cancellation policy applies.

Rates

Flexible rate, can be cancelled up to 48 hours before arrival. Late cancellations and no-shows do have a 1 night cancellation fee. The amount is debited in advance for the total stay.
Non-refundable rate, where 100% of the accommodation costs are charged on the day of booking. Should there be a cancellation or no-show, there will be no refund. The amount is debited in advance for the total stay.
The Standard Terms and Conditions for Hotel and Catering Industry (STCH) For all group reservations of 10 roomnights or more the following cancellation policy may apply:

  • In case of Cancellation more than 3 months before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 10% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
  • In case of Cancellation more than 2 months before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 15% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
  • In case of Cancellation more than 1 month before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 35% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
  • In case of Cancellation more than 14 days before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 60% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
  • In case of Cancellation more than 7 days before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 85% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
  • In case of Cancellation 7 days or less before the arrival date, the Customer is obliged to pay 100% of the Reservation Value to the Hotel Establishment.
Any changes or cancellations to the Reservation are required and can be accepted per e-mail only. Changes or cancellations need to be confirmed per e-mail by the hotel.

Payment and Guarantee
Rooms need to be guaranteed by credit card authorization or up-front payment in accordance with cancellation policy values. The signers of the contract are responsible for payment, guarantee and penalties (if applicable).
