Amsterdam is 30 minutes away from the beach, so get on the train or bus and drive to Zandvoort or Bloemendaal. In winter it is nice and quiet, but just as beautiful, if not more so. The sea is rougher, the wind blows harder: ideal for a refreshing beach walk with some hot chocolate or a portion of bitterballen!
