The largest and most important museum in the Netherlands. There are over two hundred exposition rooms. You can find all kinds of works , including Rembrandt's De Nachtwacht (The Night Watch). The collection covers more than one million pieces. The museum is owned by the state. Purpose of the Rijksmuseum: to show and explain Dutch history to as many fellow countrymen and tourists.
